Cursor has a free Hobby plan and three paid individual plans: Pro at 60 and Ultra at $200 per month. All three paid plans share the same features – unlimited Tab completions, Agent, Cloud Agents and Bugbot. The only difference is how much Agent usage you get.
Which plan should you pick?
- Just trying it out: start on Hobby. No credit card is needed; Agent requests are limited but enough to see whether Cursor fits your workflow.
- Coding every day: Pro ($20/month) is the sensible default. Unlimited Tab completions cover most day-to-day work.
- Heavy Agent use (large refactors, generating features end-to-end): move to Pro+ (200) makes sense if Cursor's Agent is writing code for you most of the day.
- Teams: Teams Standard is 120) add 5x the Standard Agent limits.
TIP
Start with one month of Pro and look at your real usage before committing to a higher tier – you can upgrade at any time.

Frequently asked questions
Is Cursor free?
+
Yes. The Hobby plan is free and needs no credit card. Agent requests are limited, but it is enough to try Cursor on a real project before paying.
What is the difference between Pro, Pro+ and Ultra?
+
All three have the same features: unlimited Tab completions, Agent, Cloud Agents and Bugbot. They only differ in how much Agent usage you get. Pro+ ($60) and Ultra ($200) are worth it only if you regularly run out of Pro limits.
Is Cursor Pro worth $20 a month?
+
For daily coding, usually yes: unlimited Tab completions cover most work. If you mainly want inline suggestions and do not need an AI-first editor, GitHub Copilot Pro costs half as much at $10.
Should a small team buy Teams or individual Pro plans?
+
Teams Standard is $40 per user per month, twice the price of Pro. The extra pays for central billing, SSO and team-wide privacy mode. A small team that does not need central management saves money with individual Pro plans. If client code must stay private, choose Teams.
